Sydney: This is Must-Know Indonesian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 4. In this lesson, you'll learn slang expressions related to behaviors — part 2.
Sydney: Here are the slang expressions that you can use when describing someone’s behaviors.

Sydney: Blanca, what's our first expression?
Blanca: rempong
Sydney: meaning "complicated."
Blanca: [SLOW] rempong [NORMAL] rempong

Sydney: Use this slang expression when you find somebody getting caught up in something unnecessarily complicated.
Sydney : Now let's hear an example sentence.
Blanca: [NORMAL] Ayo berangkat, jangan rempong bawa-bawa kompor segala. [SLOW] Ayo berangkat, jangan rempong bawa-bawa kompor segala.
Sydney: "Let's go. Don't complicate things by carrying the stove with you."
Blanca: [NORMAL] Ayo berangkat, jangan rempong bawa-bawa kompor segala.
Sydney: Okay, what's the next expression?
Blanca: sarap
Sydney: literally meaning "nerves" or "nervous system." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "crazy" or "lunatic."
Blanca: [SLOW] sarap [NORMAL] sarap

Sydney: Use this slang expression when you call your close friend crazy as a joke. Make sure to use it only between friends as it can be highly offensive to strangers.

Blanca: [NORMAL] Wah, tuh orang kok jadi sarap gitu ya? [SLOW] Wah, tuh orang kok jadi sarap gitu ya?
Sydney: "Jeez, why has the man gone crazy?"

Blanca: norak
Sydney: literally meaning "tacky." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "feeling awesome, but actually being awful and embarrassing."

Sydney: Use this slang expression when you refer to some people behaving as if they were awesome, but actually they are awful.
Sydney : Now let's hear an example sentence.

Sydney: meaning "being a smart aleck"

Sydney: Use this slang expression when you make a joke about someone pretending to be smart but who is actually not.
