Could you specify which lesson 5 you are referring to?
“mana” has several meanings. When preceded by prepositions “di/ke/dari” it means “where”. It can also mean “which” when used like this: “Yang mana yang kamu suka?” (Which di you like?)
“-kah” is a question marker, much like symbol “?” Nowadays, people drop “-kah” and keep the symbol “?” with the intention not to sound very formal. So “mana” and “manakah” are not different in meaning.
